Keep retained AI panels mounted for session continuity, but skip ChatMessageList/ChatInput while CSS-hidden so tab switches do not reconcile Streamdown trees. Render assistant text as plain content during streaming, lazy-load Streamdown only after the turn settles, and split message layout from the markdown chunk for a lighter open path.
